Wps office is really an office killer suite of programs. It hails from China under the guiding light of Kingsoft office. The WPS stands for Writer-Presentation-Sheet. There are no additional frills behind these three apps except that Kingsoft do have a raft of cloud based Services that you can pay for.
The 2016 version of the suite is free to download and unrestricted but you do have to put up with advertising when you open the app for the first time (each time you start the computer). You can of course pay a subscription either one time or annually. My own opinion presently is that the subscription for one time payment is worthwhile but the annual payment is not so attractive. (annual $45/one time $80). Still this is much cheaper than the basic office package and has he attractive PDF conversion tools and share across all mobile devices.

Of course it is difficult to compare feature for feature with Microsoft Office as Office has more programs in its suite, especially when licenses are so cheap on Amazon to download all those extra features such as Publisher (PC only), Access and more.
